Suspect a water leak?

If you suspect a water leak in your property you should contact a plumber as quickly as possible.

Whether you're losing boiler pressure, can see or smell mould, have located a damp patch or received a higher than normal water bill, Bristol Plumbing Services can help with trace and access, identify the problem pipe and fix the leak as soon as possible.

If you notice any of these type of problems in your property and suspect a leak, you should get help or advice from a qualified plumber.

What should I do if I have a burst pipe?

If you suspect a leaking or burst water supply pipe in your home, you should turn off your incoming water supply immediately. You can do this by turning the mains water stopcock (clockwise). Stopcocks can often be found under the kitchen sink, or outside the property on the path, but yours could be elsewhere in your home. It's always a good idea to locate your mains water stopcock before you have an emergency plumbing situation. Once you have located the incoming mains stopcock, open all taps, and drain the excess water trapped within the household pipework.

Don't leave a small leak untreated until it becomes a bigger problem. If left untreated, a small plumbing leak can become a large plumbing issue, and cause substantial damage to ceilings, walls, carpets and flooring.
